How the Roche Reflotron Plus system works

The Roche Reflotron Plus system is an in vitro diagnostic device designed for the quantitative determination of clinical chemistry parameters using Reflotron Test reagent strips, it works on the principle of reflectance photometry and ensures rapid and reliable results while being easy to use. A disposable, single-use test strip contains all of the elements needed for specific sample measurement and calibration.

The Roche Reflotron Plus system utilises a single measured sample (capillary blood, venous blood, plasma or serum) applied to the Reflotron Test reagent strips to test for the following parameters: alkaline phosphate, amylase, bilirubin, cholesterol, CK, creatinine, GGT, glucose, GOT (AST), GPT (ALT), HDL Cholesterol, potassium, pancreatic amylase, triglycerides, urea and uric acid.

How the Roche Reflotron Plus system helps

To help meet exact testing needs, the Roche Reflotron Plus system tests for a wide range of parameters and can help when diagnosing and differentiating a range of various conditions, giving healthcare professionals the key information needed to inform treatment pathways in a near instant manner.

Results are shown on a clear LC display and the profile can be printed out via the integral printer. Thanks to a redesigned measuring chamber, cleaning and operation is even easier and reduce maintenance time to a minimum.

The Roche Reflotron Plus system provides reliable and rapid clinical measurement of 16 parameters including: alkaline phosphate, amylase, bilirubin, cholesterol, CK, creatinine, GGT, glucose, GOT (AST), GPT (ALT), HDL Cholesterol, potassium, pancreatic amylase, triglycerides, urea and uric acid.

Most importantly, the Roche Reflotron Plus system enables cost efficiency and improved patient care.

How to use the Roche Reflotron Plus system

The Roche Reflotron Plus system is easy to run and the user-friendly navigation can be used with minimal training.

Step 1

Apply the 30 μL of the sample material (capillary blood, venous blood, plasma or serum) to the test strip. There is no need to prepare reagents or to calibrate the instrument.

Step 2

Insert the test trip into the measuring chamber, close the flap and wait for your results. A test specific magnetic code recognises the parameter of interest.

Step 3

Read off the result. When the measurement is complete after 2 to 3 minutes, values are displayed, documented via the integrated printer and are also stored to the internal memory for further processing.
