Atellica® VTLi Patient-side Immunoassay Analyser

High-sensitivity troponin testing at the point of care – producing accurate results in just 8 minutes – could transform care delivery for millions of people each year, improving ED throughput, reducing stress and strain on acute care clinicians, and aiding in optimising the use of time and resources of busy laboratories.

Simple to use and easily integrated into existing systems, the Atellica® VTLi Patient-side Immunoassay Analyser, powered by Magnotech® Technology, delivers accurate, clinically actionable high-sensitivity troponin I results directly in the hands of those who need it most.

  • Small sample (30–100 μL) of capillary, venous whole blood or plasma
  • Easy user interface
  • CE-marked for use in fingerprick sample
  • Integrated security check
  • No manual calibration
Results in 8 minutes
Sample type flexibility
No lab required
Accurate performance

The system provides evidence-based measurements of analytes to deliver accurate results.

Red blood cells are filtered from plasma before entering a reaction chamber to be measured. Specific target antigens bind to antibodies on the magnetic particles while others do not. As more target antigens bind to the antibodies, the electromagnet draws the bound particles to the bottom where the target molecules bind to antibodies on the lower surface. Unbound particles wash away leaving only bound particles to be measured and bound particles are measured to determine the analyte concentration through reflected light.

When ruling out a potential myocardial infarction (MI), every minute spent waiting on test results comes at a cost. Patients and their families are anxious, and clinicians and laboratory professionals are pressured to identify the problem quickly and accurately.

The Atellica VTLi system streamlines chest pain assessment, aiding in earlier disposition decisions for patients not having an MI and fast interventions for those who are. Providing quality hs-cTnl results right at the point-of-care benefits patients, clinicians and operational workflow and can save up to 4 hours of time compared to conventional testing.
