Una Health Welcomes NHS Solent to the QuikRead go Family
18 November 2020
Una Health are the UK distributors for the AIDIAN QuikRead go CRP testing instrument and we are delighted to share our recent success with another site coming on board…
Staff members from Sembal House at NHS Solent in Southampton are excited to welcome on board the new QuikRead go analyser for CRP testing. The QuikRead system will allow staff to continue their work in the community as part of the Urgent Response Service they offer. Despite the difficulties the pandemic has bought, they have managed to complete full training on the QuikRead go system and plan to implement it into their usual POCT service over the next few weeks.
Our QuikRead Product Manager, Mat Terry, completed the training with two small teams of staff and despite the challenges that training whilst socially distancing and wearing PPE brought, was relieved to finally be able to enter the hub at Sembal House after he had spent 140+ days in local lockdown. He commented that despite the difficulties presented, the staff were all happy to take part in the training and it was a pleasure to be involved with such a committed team.
The community Urgent Response Team look after some of the area’s most vulnerable patients and the QuikRead go analysers will be a vital tool when looking to detect and monitor infections in these patients in their home setting, making the process as stress free and low risk as possible.
