Principles of the Instrument

The QuikRead go Plus Instrument is a photometer and turbidimeter designed for use with QuikRead go reagent kits. It provides quantitative and qualitative test results by measuring reaction absorbance in a cuvette and automatically converting the data using built-in calibration.

Equipped with a pre-programmed microprocessor, the instrument streamlines the testing process by managing assay steps, timing, and data processing. Each test cuvette’s barcode contains essential information, including test identification and calibration details, ensuring accuracy and efficiency with every use. Once the cuvette label has activated the microprocessor, it controls and guides all assay steps and converts the sample absorbance values into concentration units or cut-off values.

User Interface

The QuikRead go Plus Instrument features a user-friendly, mobile-like interface with intuitive icons, guiding notes, and animations for effortless operation. Available in 24 languages ensuring accessibility for a wide range of users. Effortlessly customize the instrument, including test, quality control, and connection settings, through the intuitive user interface to meet your specific needs.

Connectivity

The QuikRead go Plus Instrument offers multiple connectivity options to simplify and secure the measurement process. It can be easily connected to LIS/HIS systems via LAN cable or Wi-Fi. The Instrument is compliant with LIS01-A2 and POCT1-A2 protocols.

How the QuikRead go Plus instrument works

The QuikRead go Plus Instrument is an advanced photometer designed to deliver quantitative or qualitative results with precision. It is calibrated for both photometric and turbidimetric measurements, ensuring accurate and reliable diagnostics.

The QuikRead go Plus Instrument instrument features an intuitive touchscreen interface that guides users through the testing process with clear messages and animations. It automatically measures the absorbance of the cuvette and converts the data into a concentration value or a positive/negative resultc, using pre-set calibration data encoded on each cuvette label.

How the QuikRead go Plus instrument helps

The QuikRead go Plus instrument is designed to support healthcare professionals to make faster decisions, improve patient flow and improve outcomes. The QuikRead go Plus instrument provides quantitative or qualitative results for the following:

  • easy CRP
  • wrCRP+Hb
  • HbA1c
  • iFOBT
  • Strep A

How to use the QuikRead go Plus instrument

The QuikRead go Plus instrument is easy to run, the user-friendly touch screen, with simple menu navigation, can be used with minimal training:

Step 1

After collecting your sample choose ‘Measure’ on the main menu and follow the instructions on the display. Note: ensure the cuvette cap is fully inserted, with no thread showing and that the gap is facing towards the front. Do not depress the plunger.

Step 2

Drop a cuvette into the measurement well in the right position. The barcode of the cuvette must be facing towards you. Note: do not place a finger or any other object into the measurement well.

Step 3

The lid closes, and following measurement, the result is shown on the display and the cuvette is automatically ejected.
